Okay, so you aren’t eating dry ice for dessert, but could you imagine how much fun it would be to have your dessert served to you on dry ice? That’s exactly what the Space Needle is doing and it always causes a lot of excitement in the dining room.
Sky City, in the Space Needle (Seattle Washington) has been serving up this wonderful dessert since 1962. The Lunar Orbiter consists of locally made ice cream covered in hot fudge or raspberry coulis. This dessert is served on dry ice. When the server brings the dish to the table, they pour hot water on to the dry ice and poof… dry ice fog covers the table.
